Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15-April-2026

This Privacy Policy explains how DataAssist (“DataAssist”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website at dataassist.io and our data-assistant service (the “Service”). DataAssist is operated by Absolute TechTeam, Twincity Highstreet, Sargasan, Gandhinagar – 382421

Information we collect

  • Account & organization data — names, work emails, organization name, and the roles of users you create.
  • Billing details — billing name, address, country, and tax ID. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Data you connect — files you upload (e.g. CSV) and the connection settings/credentials for databases you connect. Credentials are encrypted at rest.
  • Usage & audit data — records of queries run through the Service, timestamps, and which AI assistant was used, for security and auditing.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, and similar information collected automatically.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to provide and operate the Service, authenticate users and secure accounts, process payments and manage credits, provide support, maintain audit logs, monitor and improve the Service, and comply with our legal obligations.

Your data stays yours

We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or use your customer data to train AI models. Each organization’s data is isolated in its own private namespace, and no other organization can access it. DataAssist accesses your data only as needed to provide the Service, and queries run read-only. You can delete your data at any time.

How we share information

When you connect a third-party AI assistant (for example Claude or ChatGPT), the questions you ask and the data needed to answer them are processed by that assistant under its own terms and privacy policy. You choose which assistant to connect.

Data retention & deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete data sources, tables, or your entire organization at any time. We may retain limited records as required for legal, security, or accounting purposes.

Security

We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, per-organization isolation, role-based access control, and full audit logging. Sensitive credentials are protected with strong cryptography. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we use industry-standard measures to protect your information.

Cookies

Our website and app use essential cookies for sign-in and security, and may use limited analytics cookies to understand usage.

International data transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than the one in which you are located. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@dataassist.io.

Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to individuals under [16]. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date above.
