Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the DataAssist website and service (the “Service”), provided by [legal entity name] (“DataAssist”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you agree on its behalf.

The Service

DataAssist lets your team query connected data — uploaded files or connected databases — in plain English through MCP-compatible AI assistants. Features and availability may change over time.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. The first user who registers an organization is its Admin and is responsible for managing users and settings. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service unlawfully or to infringe the rights of others;
  • upload or connect data you do not have the right to use;
  • attempt to breach security, access another organization’s data, or reverse-engineer the Service;
  • interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service.

Credits, billing & refunds

The Service uses prepaid query credits — each query consumes credits. New organizations receive a free allowance (currently 30 queries). Paid credit packs are purchased through our payment provider. Credits never expire, there is no subscription, and all purchases are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law. Prices may change for future purchases.

Your data & ownership

You retain ownership of the data you upload or connect (“Customer Data”). You grant DataAssist a limited license to host, process, and transmit Customer Data solely to provide the Service. We access it read-only and do not use it to train AI models. You are responsible for having the rights to the data you connect.

Third-party AI assistants

The Service connects to third-party AI assistants you choose (for example Claude or ChatGPT). Your use of those assistants is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

Service availability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Intellectual property

DataAssist and its software, design, and content are owned by Absolute TechTeam and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you only a limited right to use the Service and no rights in our intellectual property.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DataAssist disclaims all implied warranties and is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for amounts exceeding what you paid for the Service in the [12] months before the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold DataAssist harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your organization at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive will survive.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
